The objective of the course is to introduce fundamental gaming concepts and technologies together with giving knowledge of virtual environments, display technologies and interaction techniques. Understanding why people play games, how they fell immersed, how do players interact with computers, which cognitive processes happen, what are the social impacts of games and other technologies are some of the issues that researchers deal with. Another objective is to establish an environment in which the current research issues of gaming and virtual environments are discussed and studied to contribute to the field.
