Four Link Mechanisms

  • In this chapter we shall confine our study to four-link mechanisms and discuss the kinematic characteristics of these mechanisms in more detail. Four-link mechanisms are the most commonly used mechanisms in machinery. They usually form a part or the whole of the machine structure. In the following figure the four-link kinematic chains and the mechanisms that are derived from these chains are shown.
